This promotional video starts off with information about Starbucks the company and its history, it then continues to use facts and figures about Starbucks which shows its succsess. It the goes on to show you an ideal lifestyle if you drink starbucks or go into one of their stores you instantly become happy and with family and friends creating a 'new love'. It then advertises' the ideal lifestyle to you proposing you can do many things just in their store by them showing you clips of people laughing, buisness meetings and reuniting with family. The video include people of all ages, races and backgrounds in the store making the video acceptable and relatable for a wide range of people. The text along with the music creates a relaxing atmosphere when watching the video also making you visualise what it would be like to visit a starbucks store.
APPLE IPHONE 7 PROMO VIDEO
In this promotional video from Apple, the Iphone 7 is being described very basic at the beginning of the video, the narrator is descibing the phones features very directly to the listerener almost asif it's a one on one conversation. as the video progresses the narrator speaking in the video starts to use more complex language about what the phone includes, this technique works well as by starting simple Apple already have the audiences attention then adding in complex language makes the audience more intruiged about he product its self. They have also used exaples of images taken on the iphone mainly taken at night this sells the buyer an ideal lifestyle that if they buy the phone they will have a great social life at night time to be able to take these kind of pictures. The narrator is talking very directly to the audience which catches the attention quickly.
NIKE PROMO VIDEO
In this promotional video for nike the beginning shots are quite dull and have low lighting, the music is quite intense which makes the audience anticipate that something is about the happen. Nike is introduced when the music picks up which creates an idea to the audience that you need Nike. Words are quickly shown on the screen and the lighting and non diegetic sound all seem bright and pick up, this sells you a lifestyle that everything will be better with Nike. A retorical question 'what moves you?' is shown at the end of the video leaving the audience on a cliffhanger, this will make them intriged about the product and probably want to go and buy it to see if it does make things / you work better.
